Directions to meet the Magic Hook


Lovers Key Park Location:

Lat 26 23.595 / Lon 081 52.006

From North or South of Bonita Springs:

I 75 to Exit 116, or trun on US 41Bonita Beach Road.

Go West on Bonita Beach Road to Bonita Beach. The road changes name to Hickory Blvd. as it makes makes a 90 degree turn to the North at Bonita Beach where the Tennis club is on your right, Bonita Beach will be on your left. You will cross two bridges going North. The first is Big Hickory, next is New Pass. There are names on the bridges. The New Pass Bridge is tall, you can see over the Gulf and Estero Bay. From the top center of this bridge go one mile to Lovers Key State Park. Turn East or Right (bay side not the Gulf). There is a park entrance on both sides of the road. Be sure you turn East into the boat ramp facility. Look for Lovers Key Bait sign. There is plenty of parking along the East side away from the boat trailers, South of Lovers Key Adventures . This is the building with the canoe and kayak on the roof. As you enter make the first right and follow around to the docks. Park away from the boat trailers along the Mangroves North of the Bait shop and walk down to the docks, the Magic Hook has a white hull, red trim, white hard top. My home is 239-455-0006 if you have problems, but remember its early and my wife will be sleeping so please don't call just to say hi.


From Sanibel or Ft. Myers Beach

Leaving the toll booth from Sanibel Island, go East on 969 to San Carlos, turn right or South. Go over Sky Bridge to Ft. Myers Beach. Road name changes to Estero Blvd. Proceed South about eight miles to Big Carlos Pass bridge, then Little Carlos Pass bridge. Go approximately one half mile more and Lovers Key boat ramp will be on your left or East side. There is a park entrance on both sides of the road. Be sure you turn East or left into the boat ramp facility. Look for the Lovers Key Adventures sign and a canoe and kayak on the roof. As you enter make the first right and follow around to the the docks. Park North of Lovers Key adventures on the East side. Walk down to the docks. The Magic Hook has a white hull, hard top with red trim.
